Brasov follows the French Model

The County Council Brasov recently received a French delegation, which member were Christian Proust, president of the General Council of Belfort region in France and Alexandru Herlea, International Relationship director within Belfort University, ex-minister of Integration during the period 1996-2000. After several discussions with the CC Brasov president Aristotel Cancescu, the French delegation visited ?Transylvania? University and the industrial parks of Brasov. They were accompanied by Professor Alexandru Munteanu, county counsellor, Gelu Romanescu, director of the Industrial Park Metrom and Dragos David, the president of the Industrial Parks of Romania.
The Belfort Experience
County counsellor Alexandru Munteanu stated the visit followed a Euroland project, unfolded in May, which purpose was a pool concerning the protection of the cultural and industrial patrimony. The Belfort University hosted 17 specialists in the industrial patrimony protection. ?They presented us an industrial park like those we intend to build in Romania. The only differences between the parks in Belfort and those of Brasov are the size and organizing manner?.
Euroland Industrial Project
Professor Herlea from Belfort is a Brasov-born citizen and still feels attached of his natal place. In his speech Herlea reminded the Euroland industrial project, initiated by Brasov, which allowed the Romanian delegation to directly take cognizance of the administration way of Belfort patrimony. There were also discussed the collaboration relationships between ?Transylvania? University of Brasov and Belfort University, which allowed various changes for ten years.
French Assistance
Christian Proust talked about Belfort as an ancient industrial town, juts like Brasov. As an effect of the world crisis, followed by massive lost of the jobs, they had were compelled to find solutions to create new jobs in order to ensure the growth of the region. ?We are the owners of 25.000 square meters of buildings; the industrial park includes 90 companies and ensures 7.000 jobs. Brasov should mobilize itself to receive investors. We come forward to grant assistance for the industrial parks in Brasov and to share the Belfort experience. We will support the European projects to obtain structural funds?.
