Products from natural roses

In village Ucea de Sus, county of Brasov, the natural potential was turned into account at the initiative of a family from the locality. They have made a roses plantation (2000mp), one raspberries plantation (1000 square meters), one orchard with apples (5000 square meters), a diversified orchard with cherry, plum, apple and nut trees. The total of the cultivated surface is 10,000 square meters. Everything is being registered in the ecologic agriculture, in the 2nd conversion year. The production is turned into account at its best and may be found in roses' comfiture, vinegar, syrup, natural apple syrup and dried roses petals for tea. The products are certified and approved by the mark "natural product".
The plantation of roses
Danut Florea, the initiator of a sole-proprietorship, has done several projects for turning into account the ecologic agriculture with European funds. Among these projects – the plantation of two varieties of roses for comfiture, syrup and roses vinegar. About the manner in which these products are done Danut Florea declared: „The petals are carefully chosen, till sunrise, so that their do not lose their perfume. The first row of petals is being removed. These are used for tea mix. The petals are mixed with lemon juice. Then comes the processing for obtaining roses vinegar, syrup and comfiture. Our future plans include sorbet and a comfiture of roses for people with diabetes.”
The apple orchard
Vasile and Cornelia Florea take care of the apple orchard. They consulted specialists when making the orchard. „We were pioneers in this field and now here we are in the 3rd year of fruit production. We cultivate six varieties of apples: Florina, Idared, Generos, Ionatan, Starkinson, Patul and Kremsnit, for people with diabetes with low sugar content. We will extend out orchard and we wish to buy a processing laboratory for compote and comfiture for our brand. The investment is big and everything is ecologic because there was no chemical intervention”, declared Vasile Florea.
Benefits for health
This family business shall be extended for other products as well: elder comfiture, raspberries jam and syrup and a processing installation for the products. Those who come on this plantation may enjoy flower therapy and may eat natural ecologic fruits. The apple is known for fighting against the cholesterol level, arteries thickening; it prevents stokes and infarcts, it takes over and eliminates the mercury from the body and prevents cancer. Roses' syrup may be used by both children and adults, mixed in a glass of cold water, with miraculous properties.
