Moieciu is a commune in the county of Brasov, Transylvania, Romania, where the rural tourism has developed a lot during the last years. The commune is made up of the following six villages: Moieciu de Sus, Cheia, Moieciu de Jos, Drumul Carului, Pestera and Magura. It is located at 28 kilometers from the road connecting Brasov from Campulung Muscel and Pitesti, and it is one of the oldest communication roads on the Romanian territory. It has been known ever since Dacia was occupied by the Romans, in 106 AD. Today, the entire region is preferred by tourists because of its location, landscape and tourism potential.
