Soul's Windows

The House of Culture Codlea hosted the varnishing of the exhibition "Windows, open from the soul" of the plastic artist Gheorghe Oprea Holbavianu. The exhibition included sculpture, painting, graphics, photography and attracted people from the cultural world of Tara Barsei.

Art from Emotion

A Holbav born, artist Holbavianu puts on canvas his feelings about people and places where he was born. ?My art is born of emotion. I have been always related to people, nature and native places?. He gave up becoming mayor of Holbav and dedicated his entire life to the artistic creation. Plastic artist and writer, Gheorghe Oprea Holbavianu intends to launch this year two volumes of poetry, and in autumn to organize an exhibition of painting and sculpture.

Inspired by Holbav

The artist speaks very nice about his native place: ?Holbav has something special. Here, the man couldn't destroy what God created - the fauna, the flora, the water and the soil. The people conserved their habits; the objects of patrimonial value are preserved and exhibited in the museum within the orthodox church. The same museum hosts the only complete collection of liturgical books of the great humanist Andrei Saguna. All these have been my inspiration since my childhood?.
