The Employers' Federation of Romanian Tourism, under the patronage of Brasov County Council, in collaboration with the Tourism Association of Poiana Brasov and National Association for Rural, Ecological and Cultural Tourism, with the support of Piatra Mare Hotel and Complex Favorit, organized the National Touring Exchange - Mountain, Rural, Business, Seaside. Thew discussions occurred under the theme ?Tourism - the priority of the Romanian economy?.
Contracts for 2009
The National Touring Exchange analyzed the 2008 season, tariff negotiation and vacancies contracting for the New Year's Eve and 2009. The Exchange considered the mountain, seaside, rural, business and transit tourism offers. At the event took part hotels and restaurants' owners, transporters, travel agencies and tour-operators, all of them showing interest in negotiating and signing contracts.
Tempting Offers
As the president of the Employers' Federation, Daniel Vasilescu stated, mountain resorts as Poiana Brasov offer unforgettable winter holidays, not only until the end of the ski season, but during the entire year. Many of the accommodation units have kept tariffs at the same level; all of them diversified their offer and the services package is very well balanced and structured?.
Enormous Potential
The County Council vice-president Otilian Neagoe also attended the event: ?Thanks to its mountain resorts, Brasov is an attractive tourist area. The touring field in Romania knew a very dynamic evolution. Brasov has already 8,000 employees in tourism. The potential is enormous and Romania can become a destination for more tourists?.
