The Prefect Institution of Brasov County, by the prefect Adriana Dontu, supports all the projects related to sustainable development of the county, promoting tourism, reviving the traditions and customs of the various areas of the county where the ethnic heritage is well preserved, protection projects of the natural reserves.
Cultural Diversity
Prefect Dontu is reputed for having promoted the county?s patrimony and for projects related to the restoration of historic objectives of Brasov County. She also collaborates with the Centre for Preservation and Promotion of Traditional Culture Brasov as regards the opening towards the greatest European scenes, in order to promote the county's cultural diversity and multiculturalism.

Prefect Dontu also accompanied official delegations of Brasov, invited in Europe to present the local traditions and gastronomy. ?It?s a real pleasure for me to participate at events including popular clothes parades, dances and popular songs of Romanian, German and Hungarian communities. The ethnic Gypsies of Tarlungeni village are very dynamic while the feast of Dumbravita village still impresses me by its authenticity and popularity among the inhabitants?.
The cultural diversity of the county also involves religion: Orthodox, Catholics, Greco-Catholics, Neo-Protestants, Jehovah?s Witnesses, Jews peacefully live together in Brasov.
