Vistea de Sus hosted the third edition of the ?Annunciation? Religious Songs Festival, under the holly patronage of the Ardeal Metropolitan Bishop Laurentiu Streza. The event gathering 12 choral bands and two professional vocal groups was also attended by the County Council president Artistotel Cancescu and the county manager Radu Ispas.
Carriage for the Bishop
The Metropolitan Bishop Streza, who also attended the inaugural edition, was welcomed at Vistea by all the community members, wearing popular clothes. An elegant carriage took Bishop Streza to the ?Annunciation? Church, accompanied by an impressive procession of local people.
Bell Board Tunes
The 12 choral bands of Tara Fagarasului - Vistea de Sus, Ucea de Sus, Vistea de Jos, East Sambata de Sus, Sercaia, Dragus, Arpasu de Sus, West Sambata de Sus, Arpasu de Jos, Victoria, Sinca Noua ? could be distinguished by the popular clothes their members wear. The youngest and the oldest members of the bell board band of ?Saints Constantine and Helen Emperors? Church of Victoria opened the Festival.
Everybody was a Winner
At this year?s edition, the highest award was shared by the Victoria and Ucea de Jos, the 2nd place was adjudged by Vistea de Jos, Vistea de Sus and Sinca Noua, while the 3rd award went to the choruses of Dragus, Ucea de Sus and Arpasu de Jos. The organizers also gave a special award and a special award of the jury. The bell board young musicians of Victoria, who opened the Festival, received ?The Hope? award.
On this occasion, the mayor of Vistea de Sus, Gheorghe Tabara, awarded the local couples which celebrated 50 years of marriage. ?They are a moving example for the young generations and a proof of their feelings? constancy?.
