The Town Hall Brasov prepared once again an exceptional programme for the winter holidays. The feast begun the 6th December, with all the lights lit all over the town; the events of the whole month transform Brasov in a fairy tales town.
Christmas Glamour
The official beginning of the winter holidays was made by the mayor George Scripcaru, who lit all the lights of the Christmas trees and decoration in the old centre and all over the town. The event was followed by a Christmas carols concert and a spectacular firework. Beside the huge Christmas tree placed in Piata Sfatului, there are many other trees on Republicii street, giving the town the special Christmas glamour. All the streets downtown were covered with Christmas lights.
The Arrival of Santa
Piata Sfatului will host lots of Christmas special events, such as carol concerts, pop and folkloric music concerts and many other happenings that will maintain the spirit of holidays alive. The best moments of all these events will be the arrival of Santa Claus in Piata Sfatului, on 23rd of December and the New Year's Eve. The historical centre is not the only part of the town to party on Christmas; the other neighbourhoods of Brasov will host special events. Brasov, the fairy tale town, invites the inhabitants and the tourists to enjoy together the Christmas holidays.
