Predeal resort is ready to welcome the tourists. The special offer of this winter season is the Touring Informant, a device able to be accessed non-stop by the tourists. This is the third device of its kind in Romania, after those of Brasov and Miercurea-Ciuc, through which touring operators can promote their products.

The device offers touring information in four languages about the infrastructure, accommodation, gastronomy, touring attractions, maps, events, slopes, touring ranges, weather. Tourists also can call by phone the various units, list the information, send e-mails containing photos and establish Internet connections. The investment reached 10.000 euros, amount disposed by Predeal townhall. The device is located near the Touring Information Centre and Predeal railway station. According to Gassner Wolfgang Norbert, single shareholder of SC NWG Concept SRL, the producer of the device, "the data tourists look for more often are details about the most suitable accommodation to their needs. Green and red led signalize the available accommodation, to be updated daily by the owners of the accommodation units via Internet or phone. We intend to develop a national touring information network and install this kind of device in every main town or touring resort of national and local interest. By the end of 2010, we estimate to have over 100 devices in Romania", Gassner stated.
Preparing the Festival
As the mayor of Predeal, Mihail Vestea, emphasized, the project is extremely important for both tourists and touring operators. "In 2013 Predeal will be the host of the European Youth Olympic Festival. Therefore we need to offer as much information as possible about our resort, by promoting its opportunities and touring potential".
