?A German group showed lately great interest in sleeping on hay, eating traditional good home-cooked and rafting on river Olt. They carry the lugs and assemble the float here, then go rafting on river Olt till Fagaras area. On sunset they mount the tents, make a firecamp, have a wonderful evening and return in the morning to Augustin. Archaeological Camp
Between Augustin and Racos, on the spot called Tipia Ormenisului, there is a archaeological camp. The diggings are directed by the archaeologist Florea Costea from Brasov. ?The citadel discovered on those sacred grounds was a defence line. Their leaders refused to unite with the other little kingdoms under the leadership of king Burebista. He conquered and burnt the rebel fortress?.
The circular sanctuaries discovered here, were the inhabitants used to make sacrifices in the honour of the supreme god Zamolxis were destroyed by the Romans. The pottery fragments, the fibulas and the iron artefacts discovered here are exhibited at the Museum of History Casa Sfatului.
