Brasov?s touring Development

At the end of 2006 was inaugurated the Agency from Tourism?s Promotion and Development within Brasov county, which seat is at 23, Ecaterina Varga Street, Brasov. The event was attended by the founder members, the County Council?s president, Aristotel Cancescu, the president of the Investors? Association of Poiana Brasov, Radu Lisenche, representatives of tourism administrations from Predeal, Rasnov and Bran.
Andreea Malureanu, the agency?s director, mentioned that the objectives of the new touring structure are meant to develop the mountain tourism and redefine the collocation: ?Brasov, the first Romania?s touring city?. The project will be supported by both EU?s and CC Brasov?s funds.
Tourism, a gainful Branch
Inaugurating the structure, CC?s president, Aristotel Cancescu disclosed that ?the CC?s policy is to support tourism? development within the county, for the tourism is a very profitable domain. We have beautiful natural areas and exceptional touring resorts such as Predeal, Brasov, Rasnov or Bran. We will assign important amounts for infrastructure?s development, to ensure quality water and performant sewer plants in all the areas?.
The Mountain beats the Beach
The inhabitants of Brasov knows that the mountain beats the beach, as the resorts are available for tourists all the year round. The touring development?s strategy supposes an increasing number of investments in the ski areas of Poiana Brasov, Predeal; even in Bran, tourists are attracted by the Dracula?s myth but also by other opportunities of the area.
Projects for Poiana Brasov
Radu Lisenche, president of the Investors? Association of Poiana, will collaborate with the newly established agency in realizing projects able to cover the local touring development. He believes that the foreign counselling will ensure a coherent strategy. The resort?s touring facilities will be valorised by efficient promoting campaign. Other financial resources, including financing programs, will be identified. The project ?Brasov?s Quality in tourism? will also be started and implemented.
