The Prefecture?s College, established by the Prefect Order no. 128/16.02.2006, according to art. 35 of the Law 340/2004, concerning the Prefect and the Prefect?s Institution, already started its activity and organize monthly meetings with Braşov county?s deconcentrated institutions.
Emergency situations
The works of Prefecture?s College are led by prefect Aurelian Danu. The Government?s representative usually analyzes the operational objectives of the training activity in the emergency field, the establishment of the defence Plans against the floods, the prevention and accidental pollution combating Plans, the drought combating Plans.
Owing to the abundant rainfalls that jeopardized a few localities, the prefect Danu and the prefect of Sibiu County, Ion Ariton, attended, in the early April, in the locality Viştea a distress exercise below the local dam. The action was organized by the Inspectorate for emergencies ,,Ţara Bârsei? in collaboration with the members of the local Committee for emergencies Viştea.
Gendarmes and Firemen
The exercise?s goal was the intervention?s appraisal of the local committee in case of dam?s bursting, the evacuation of the population in emergency situation and a complex information of the people about the way o acting in these circumstances. The forces mobilized in place editing pertains to the Inspectorate for emergencies Braşov, the prevention Inspection, the operative Group, The Fire-station squad Făgăraş, the Fire-engine house Victoria, the Police of Viştea, the Gendarme Squad Făgăraş, Public Health Direction and the Ambulance Department.
Security for the Schools
According to the Sub-prefect of Braşov Szakal Andras, the meeting also analyzed the measures taken for the civic security of the scholastic units, as established with the county?s police and gendarmes inspectorates and the local public administration authorities for each scholastic unit. ?As far as I?m concerned, I evaluated the application state of the land administration laws in each territorial and administrative unit? the sub-prefect stated.
A new Prefecture?s Office
Te Prefecture?s College Braşov decided to establish a Prefecture?s Office in Rupea; the event was attended by the Prefecture?s representatives, the County Council?s vice-presidents Vasile Butaru and Marian Rasaliu, the county counsellor from Rupea Gheorghe Sarafinceanu and the mayor of Rupea, Flavius Dumitrescu.
?The set-up of this Office means a lot for the 30.000 persons living in the area. They don?t have to travel anymore 65 km to Braşov or to Făgăraş; time and money will be therefore saved. We also set-up today an office of the Pension House Braşov and we plan to establish, in the citizen?s benefit, a subsidiary of the Work Resources Inspectorate Braşov? the prefect induced.
