The commune Hărman represents an agro-touring area, practicing the historic and recreation tourism; it also is a socio-economic one, with considerable investments and small industry. One of the most important initiatives is the establishment of an emergency hospital, able to offer professional health service for the inhabitants of Braşov county and also for the patients with special needs from Covasna and Harghita counties. The investment will be realized in collaboration with a Spanish company.
Spanish governmental Aid
Jose Herrero, president of Ibadesa Company from Spain, signed, in the early March, the contract with the administration company?s board of the future hospital located in Hărman. The Spanish part committed itself to build and endow the unit with up-to-date medical equipment. The investment is 30 millions euro worth to be assigned through a program of the Spanish Government. The hospital?s beneficiaries are the public authorities of Braşov: the County Council, the Local Council Braşov and the Local Council Hărman, associated within the administration company ?Hospital Project? SRL.
Very convenient Loan
Aurel Ionel, head of the health commission within the County Council, mentioned that the objective will a public hospital, meant to attend the entire community of Hărman and the inhabitants of the surrounding counties. The interest is 4,5% for the entire period of the eight years credit. ?We have chosen Ibadesa company as a result of an offers? selection. Practically, we are dealing with a promotion, whereas we are granted the loan in very convenient conditions. As far as the Spanish government is concerned, there is an interest of exporting technology and medical equipment in Romania?.
1.600 Operations per Month
Once the papers signed, the Bord of Trustees of the ?Hospital Project? SRL company - Constantin Cîrstea, the board chairman, Nicolae Vrîncean, Adrian Albotă, Traian Serendan, Lucian Oncescu, George Popa, Ciprian Pulbere, Attila Radnoti and Alexandru Rus - had its first session.
The unit will dispose of 415 beds and 12 operation-rooms where the medical stuff can perform every month 1.600 operations, 700 births, 9.000 consultations, 30.000 radiological examinations and 6.000 echographies. More than 3.500 patients could be hospitalized.
Incomings at the local Budget
The meeting with the Spanish company?s representatives was also attended by state counsellor Marius Oprea. He referred as a possibility the Romanian Government?s involvement in this project, consisting in a pecuniary contribution to build the infrastructure and the utilities network. According to the mayor of Hărman, Mihai Dişor, the local authorities fully support the hospital?s building. ,,We have already established the location extended on 12 ha and discussed with the technology?s providers from France. The investment will attract considerable incomings at the local budget and will create new jobs. Hărman will increase its reputation and will attract new investors?.
