Moieciu, a reach patrimony

Quality, a standard to be promoted
Nicolae Clinciu, the mayor of Moieciu, the host of the event, considers that Moieciu has become a first rank touring destination. ?We thank God for having blessed Romania with such an impressive landscape and history. We have an extraordinary dowry: rivers, mountains, flora and a reach historical patrimony. In the lowland and the mountain area, where heights such as Piatra Craiului pick reach 2.300 m, secular crafts are within everybody?s range. The gastronomic art involves ecological products: milk, cheese, eggs and meat from the personal household. The touring potential is appropriate to every kind of tourism. We are permanently trying to keep the place and fame Moieciu has won at international level?.

Quality, a standard to be promoted
By the end of February, ,,Crăiasa Munţilor? boarding-house in Moieciu de Sus hosted the second debate organized by senator Otilian Neagoe on the Romania tourism revival?s topic. The event, put under the caption ,,Agrotourism, a chance for the rural development? was attended by Jacques Boyon, president of the Companies of Mixed Economy Federation from France, Marilena Stoian, ANTREC president, Ilie Sârbu, ex-minister of Agriculture, Daniel Vasilescu, president of Employers Federation in Tourism, Florian Dudu, president of Employers Federation of Public Services in Romania, mayors, guest-house holders and various companies and touring agencies? representatives. The County Council was represented by director Mihai Pascu and counselors Toma Dobrogeanu and Aranyosi Stefan.

Services differentiation
Opening the debate, senator Neagoe emphasized that ,,The landscape can compensate a part of the clumsiness in a guest-house, but we need a lot more such as a serious infrastructure, professionalism and services? differentiation?.
Ilie Sârbu also mentioned that we need to create in agrotourism a Romanian standard, close to the occidental one. Around 10% of the tourists? number at national level come annually in Braşov county. Considering the 20.000 accommodation places at the county level and the seven millions accommodation nights to be offered within the year, this activity?s profitableness remains low for now.
The National Agency of Rural, Ecological and Cultural Tourism has at national level 3.500 members, from 32 counties, and there are agrotouring boarding-houses in more than one thousand localities. In Braşov County there are more than 500 guest-houses affiliated to ANTREC, that will must observe the European quality standards Eurogites.
Marilena Stoian showed that, starting from 2006, ANTREC is already promoting quality standards; on Rural Tourism National Day, events, debates, meetings and consulting actions will be organized in the benefit of the hotelkeepers operating in the Romanian tourism.

Antistress Tourism
Jacques Boyon, president of the Companies of Mixed Economy Federation from France, declared Romania has a landscape similar to the French one, although the locution agrotourism doesn?t exist in his country, but only rural or green tourism: ,,Green tourism is the third kind of tourism in my country, a less sophisticated form although not an undemanding one. It is a tourism connected to the nature and the culture of the traditions that could be qualified as antristress, very appropriated to develop the camping within the farms. Its clientele is very mobile, sensible to the new fashion and the change; therefore it has to be attended with anticipation and innovation?.
