The Tower, a part of the borough
Built by the weavers? fellowship on four levels with holes for firing, black oil chops and two guarding towers, the Weavers? Tower has a unique architecture in South-Eastern Europe. Spared in the big fire in 1689, it is still preserved as originally.
It is more and more used for parties and especially for opera concerts because of its extraordinary acoustic qualities. In 1950, the Museum of Tara Barsei was arranged inside the tower, where the layout of the former citadel of Brasov and Schei is the same as it used to be at the end of the 17th century, as well as guns and products of the weavers? fellowship.
