In August 2014, magazine Inside Brasov Romania celebrates 10 years of activity. This anniversary crowns an ambitious project with a few journalists from Brasov who made up a team and started on a freeway in a field which was not covered 10 years ago: capitalization of the cultural-historical patrimony in the country and abroad. This project could not have been done if four ambassadors of some foreign countries in Bucharest hadn’t noticed this aspect and didn’t insist on the need to have such a publication on the market. We started working, we made a short description of the editorial context and we punctually done the summary of the project with objectives, target group, activities of the project, expected results and other relevant elements.
NATO summit was organized in Poiana Brasov in October 2004; this event opened the doors for Inside Brasov Romania magazine. We published a special number, we got in touch with high officials of the NATO and the Government of Romania, we accredited the magazine and we managed to include our magazine in the folders of foreign delegations participating to the summit. The fact that the magazine was interesting for the high officials and that it was appreciated for the quality of the articles, their translation into several foreign languages, the abundance of information in the county patrimony, excellent DTP and printing on good quality paper, these have all encouraged us and helped us become important on the market.
We have received concrete support from the County Council Brasov which proved to be open for cooperation and supported our patrimony promotion projects with local, regional, national and international impact. Another opportunity for us was also the "Meeting of Romanians everywhere", an event organized in 2004 at Complex Miorita in Poiana Brasov; Romanians who left in all the corners of the world who succeeded in different domains participated in this event. Among the guests there was the Ambassador of Romania in Washington, who sent us subsequently an official letter by which he congratulated and encouraged us for what we do.
In the EU Parliament
After the accession of Romanian in the European Union, Brasov was invited to represent Romania in Brussels. A representative of Inside Brasov Romania magazine was also part of the official delegation; he distributed magazines in which we have promoted the cultural-historical objectives and multiculturalism of Brasov County. We were also invited to participate in international tourism fairs (Berlin, Nuremberg), meetings with the Royal House of Romania, foreign official delegations and culture institutions and embassies of the EU countries in Bucharest and Romania’s abroad. We have given just a few examples from our activity and we wish to thank all those who helped us and without whom we could not have done this project.
