A pilgrimage in the area of Ardeal should not bypass Tara Barsei, and after that a stopover in Teliu-Valley, in the county of Brasov, should not be neglected. We can find here a location meant to make our souls rest because of the beauties of nature, but also because of the wellness emanating from the spirit of community, a place where prayers entwine for years with music, poetry, Christian art and youth camps.

"Our commune is located on the touristic couloir Prejmer ? Teliu ? Budila ? Vama Buzaului, in the heart of Romania, in a landscape with unique natural resources. The customs and traditions of Romanians and Hungarians are preserved here and joint cultural events are being organized. In this period of time, the Carnival of Children is organized where the children of both ethnics participate, and the Ensemble "Cetatuia" Teliu, with the parade of popular costumes. We have a great collaboration with the Social-Cultural Association "Suflet Transilvan", founded as a consequence of the community needs, but also with the purpose of promoting local customs and traditions." declared Vasile Serban, the Mayor of commune Teliu.
Cultural projects
"The Association carries out cultural projects and activities - festivals, concerts, craftsmen courses, courses for painting Easter eggs, glass painting, music courses etc. The purpose is carrying out a constant activity of cultural, spiritual, moral-civic education within the community, especially within young people, at the same time with the moral and material support of physically and psychically disabled people or/and persons with low revenues or in need, underprivileged, disadvantaged persons, with no differentiation in terms of sex, age, religion or political orientation." declared Parson Costin Butnaru, the President of the Social-Cultural Association "Suflet Transilvan".
Rediscovering values
Among the objectives of the Association, we mention: carrying out activities with a social, cultural, educational and spiritual purpose, promotion of rural development, by rediscovering traditional values, the specificity of the area, promotion and accomplishment of multicultural activities, promotion of concepts and organization of formal and non-formal education activities and all along life, promotion of equality in terms of gender, age, affiliation and chance, as well as of human rights.
